In 2005, Britain's Channel 4, previously well-known for queer programming such as Dyke TV and Queer as Folk, adapted the young adult novel Sugar Rush to television. There’s a lot of voting going on around here these days — and I’m not even talking about the presidential primaries. From the Hot 100to the NewNowNext Awards, to the Best. Lesbian. Vlog. Ever., and the Best Character on TV Tourney that Malinda opened our eyes to, I am spending even more time clicking on random websites than I do watching TV (and that’s more telling about my social life these days than I care to admit.) So, who needs another random and unnecessary list/award/tournament/poll to vote for? Apparently I do. |

So, you might remember The-Sarah -- who is The Head Lady in Total Charge of The N (well, "General Manager" is her official title, but she's nowhere near as boring as that title sounds) -- from that podcast Seth and I did with her where she started to tell us about all the awesome things coming to The N in 2008 (btw... Queen Bees? Oh. My God. Everyone in the office is freaking out over how good it is. You're stoked. I will elaborate another day.) |

Confession time: I am a straight 30-year-old woman, and the sapphic teen soap South of Nowhere is one of my all-time favorite shows. When The N is running new episodes, I am running to my TV every Friday to check in with Spencer and Ashley and the latest trials and tribulations of their rocky romance. |

NOTE: We just wanted to point out that we edited this South of Nowhere announcement, because some people thought that it meant that Tom Lynch was the one who decided to end South of Nowhere, and we are really sorry about that. |
