ImageWith the launch of Gabrielle's brand new official website, she agreed to answer questions submitted by fans from the Spashley Forum. Ever wondered what her daily routine consists of? How she handled that trench coat scene in the mid-series finale of South of Nowhere? Well look no further! We've got all your answers right here.

Do you think Spencer has had a fairly 'easy' life compared to other girls that came out of the closet? Do you think her role was dealt with in an accurate manner?

I do not believe that Spencer's journey was "easy" in any way, shape or form. In my opinion, she had a very difficult time coming out, especially considering the pressure she got from particular family members. I also feel like this is the greatest issue for any individual to overcome in reality.

How would you imagine Spencer and Ashley 10 years from now?

Very happy and successful. Spence is a documentary filmmaker, focusing primarily on the LGBT community. Ash is a rock star. Oh, and married with babies! :0)

What's your favorite Spencer-related scene and why?

Career Day in Season 3B. In this episode, Spencer is beginning to discover what she ultimately wants to do in life (career-wise), and it just really inspired me as an actress to play this different level of motivation.

What's your favorite Spashley-related scene and why?

The Juliet & Juliet walk-in / hair-pulling scene in season two (loved the reality of the moment, as well as the intensity level).

How did you (and/or the rest of the cast) react to the trench coat scene?

Wow, well, for me it was definitely a challenge! However, Miss Mandy made it a heck of a lot easier by making the best of it through her lovely sense of humor. I'm just thankful it was Mandy and no one else in the room. Lol.

Were you uncomfortable doing the famous trench coat scene? Did you run to get a towel or something as soon as they said "cut"?

Lol, yes very uncomfortable. But why run and get a towel? All I had to do was put the trench coat back on!

How did naked-under-trenchcoat Spencer get to Ashley's condo in the mid-season finale?

She apparently drove herself...but that doesn't make much sense considering you never see the poor girl driving a vehicle. But there's no way Glen would have driven her that particular night!

What is your favorite season and why?

Season 3B for sure, and you will know why when you see it! :0)

How do you feel about the show ending? Do you feel that it will do Ashley and Spencer's relationship justice in the final episode?

Honestly, I am extremely upset that the show has been cancelled. I personally would have liked to see it go much further, exploring issues such as the college/adult life of the coming-out process. Also, I am not so sure that the final episode will do much justice as far as the Spence/Ash relationship goes. However, we will in fact be shooting a "series finale" type webisode over this upcoming summer, so I'm guessing that this will air in the winter after the 3B fall airing. So let's just keep our fingers crossed and make sure it's great!

Do you still hang out with the cast?

Definitely. Mandy was over just a few weeks ago for a bbq/poker day at

my place. I saw Miss Aasha Davis (Chelsea) do an outstanding performance in a play in Hollywood a few weekends ago. And Mama Maeve and I do as many events as possible together. I love my girls forever!

What is another thing you would've liked to see happen in the storyline of South of Nowhere if it had been continued another season?

I honestly would have loved for Clay's character to come back to the show. I was such a huge fan of his storyline (dealing with the racial identity aspect of the show). Danso Gordon is also an incredible talent, and he brought a very unique and positive energy to our set.

What would you have changed about your character or character's actions, if you could?

I would have loved for Spence to be a little stronger and less vulnerable in the second season. During this season, Spence was in this dark hole with not much positivity, and I just always hoped for her to be much stronger and self-assured.

What have you taken away from working on South as an actress and also on a personal level?

South has impacted my life in so many incredible ways. As a young woman, it has connected me to many other women in my life who are both similar as well as so different to me. I have learned so much about humanity and acceptance. And my perspective on life has definitely been altered, but for the best!

What was your favorite/least favorite thing about the South of Nowhere Conference?

Favorite - the fans showing up and supporting my SIDS charity, we raised a lot of money, so thank you! And least favorite - this being the first and possibly the last SON conference (due to the show's cancellation).

How do you feel knowing that your character on television helped a lot of people to deal with problems in their real life?

Grateful and inspired.

Spencer's most difficult struggle in her teen years was coming out, what was yours?

Boys, ha! I think that relationships (or lack of, for that matter) are the worst possible things to go through during your teen years. We just have to keep in mind that at this age we are constantly changing, and so are the people in which we surround ourselves. Thus, relationships can really take a toll on ya! My advice to you, have LOTS of friends! Hehe, and stay away from mean boys, even though they may seem cool. :0)

Of the male characters that have been on the show [Glen, Clay, Sean, Patrick, Ethan, Boz], which guy is most your type?

Totally a toss up between Sean and Glen. Sean's for sure got the looks/confidence/smarts/motivation, but Glen's is soooo funny! I personally feel that humor is the most essential thing you can have in a relationship.

What is the best behind the scenes story you can tell us?

During season one, Mandy and I were so similar to our characters it was craziness. We had both just moved to LA and kinda clung onto one another for support. We were pretty much exactly like our characters on-screen, minus all the physical intimacy. We took spontaneous adventures together, and even lived together for a month or so. She was such a dear. I loved her from the beginning!

Have you ever read South of Nowhere fan fiction? Do you have a favorite story?

I've read some of the message board posts, and I get a lot of funny stories sent to me on myspace. I don't really have one particular story in mind, but I think it's really cute how people call me Spencer Davies.

What was it like receiving your first piece of fan mail, and being recognized in public for the first time?

My first piece of fanmail was amazing, and so inspiring. I actually save every single letter I get so I can remember why I am doing what I am doing (especially with the message that South puts into the world, and the incredible impact the show has had on the LGBT community). However, as far as being recognized in public, I really prefer not to be. I'd much rather be seen as an actress than a person, hehe. Plus, I'm like always in a bathing suit or gym clothes (so that's obviously embarrassing).

What is on the daily menu for Gabrielle Christian? What is the exercise regime? How do you keep in shape?

My daily menu currently consists of auditioning, homework, watching lots and lots of movies, and reading as much as I possibly can. And as far as exercise goes, I try to work out 30 minutes 7 days a week. I hike (with my dog Buddy Jr), swim, spin, stretch and just started rock climbing at an indoor gym!

What can the fans do to continue to help SIDS ES?

Please check out my myspace blogs and gabriellechristian.com for current updates. Also, during the first weekend of every September, my mom and I put on our annual SIDS Walk in Maryland. You can also donate whenever you like on our website at www.SidsSurvivalGuide.org

Do you have any insecurities? What are you completely confident in yourself about?

I am totally insecure when it comes to being a young woman breaking into the professional world of Hollywood. People are always telling you what to do, what not to do, how to look, and how not to look. Nonetheless, I try to take every single piece of advice with a grain of salt. My hair color, however, always seems to be in a conflict of interest (it's amazing how being either blonde or brunette is such a big deal in the film world).

Do you want to become really famous and well-known or are you content have a smaller, fiercely loyal fanbase?

I absolutely adore and prefer the fiercely loyal fanbase. However, as far as my humanitarian and charity involvement goes, it would be nice to have somewhat better exposure, due to the fact that the media is so powerful these days and can have such a positive impact on the causes that I speak on behalf of.

If you weren't an actress, what other profession would you like to go into?

I'd be a social worker, and I'd love to dedicate my full attention to both of my non-profit organizations (SIDS & Fair Fund).

What song do you think best describes you and your life up to this point, and why?

New York New York, Frank Sinatra Jr. This is actually my current myspace profile song, hehe! I was actually just in New York and had the time of my life.

What are your next projects?

Just did a guest spot on the CBS series NUMB3RS, and am currently back on the market for new TV pilots.

When is Girltrash coming back?

No official date set, yet!

Are we ever going to be able to see South of Pico?

Apparently there are some clips on youtube, but other than that I have no idea. This was an independent film, and last I heard the producers were screening it at some local LA film festivals.

What is the greatest piece of advice you ever received?

Believe to achieve!

How many states have you been to? Which one was your favorite to visit and why?

I have surprisingly already been to 48 states! My family has always loved to travel, and I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to see many new environments. Montana, however, is my absolute favorite (due not only to the fact that my boyfriend's family lives there, but also because the scenery/lifestyle very much appeals to my adventurous personality).

You had a little bit of an accent in 'Young Americans'. Was that real or was it just how your character spoke?

I had no idea I had an accent, lol. But thanks for letting me know, I'll work on that! :0)

If you had 24 hours to live, what would you do and why?

I'd sleep till noon; take a private jet to Maryland and Montana; have lunch and dinner with my extended family; say my goodbyes; fly back to my home in LA; have dessert with Justin and Buddy Jr; then fall back asleep holding my two boys in my arms, and hope that we could all go together. Like, The Notebook style. :0)

Which of the Von Trap children would you have wanted to play?

100% Liesl (the eldest).

Will you ever do anything with the AfterEllen folks? Or with Maeve on 3Way?

Already in the works.....:0)

Other than pogs, what was your favorite game as a child?

Lol, what could ever beat pogs!?! Well, I guess barbies were kinda cool...

What’s your favorite perfume?

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue

Run DMC or Beastie Boys? Rolling Stones or The Beatles?

Beastie Boys and Beatles all the way.

What is your favorite movie so far this year?

2007- Into the Wild; 2008- Iron Man (thus far....)

Would you ever name your child JONICA?

Doubt it. It's cute, just not anywhere close to what I have already picked out for her name. :0)
